Leading the Way
Leading the Way (LTW) is an interactive two-class workshop in which participants and their managers are involved throughout the process of discovering how work styles impact the ability to lead others. Designed to offer more than passive classroom training, LTW progressively increases the skills of team leaders and front-line supervisors/managers who are responsible for building effective teams. In addition to the support managers provide, participants improve their leadership skills in the areas of communication, giving feedback, motivating work teams, problem-solving and valuing differences.
Taught as a series of two 2-day workshops, participants combine industry-specific simulations, case studies and action planning with:
- Pre-workshop activities that the
immediate manager and participant complete
- Application and coaching exercises
- Post-workshop activities that include a Leadership Toolkit, Managers Coaching Toolkit and 30 and 90 day follow-up exercises
