PLS Consulting Partners With Minneapolis-based Xcel Energy
Portland, Ore., December 7, 2012 - PLS Consulting has entered into a multi-year agreement with Xcel Energy, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Xcel Energy, Inc. is a public utility serving more than 3.3 million electric customers and 1.8 million natural gas customers in eight states: Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.
The company’s primary services are electricity and natural gas. Operating companies include Northern States Power Company, Public Service Company of Colorado, and Southwestern Public Service Co.
Xcel has selected PLS to provide leadership development services to the company as part of the utility’s workforce planning strategies. As is true with the utility industry in general, companies are faced with a significant challenge in replacing a highly experienced but aging workforce.
