PLS Consulting Selected By Washington County (Oregon) As Its Leadership Development Partner
Portland, Ore., September 1, 2013 - PLS Consulting, Inc. (PLS) is pleased to have been selected by Washington County (Oregon) to develop and implement a customized training program aimed at ensuring a strong leadership organization capable of sustaining the highest quality of service to constituents in the county.
Washington County has approximately 1,800 employees servicing the needs of the second largest county in Oregon. Human Resources has identified that a significant number of management personnel are age-eligible for retirement now and in the upcoming five years. In addition, this aging workforce picture continues throughout the ranks of county employees.
PLS has been selected to assist the HR organization in the assessment and design phases of the leadership development training program. PLS will design a Washington County Leadership Competency Model, design and develop a competency survey to identify competency gaps exhibited by management personnel throughout the organization, and deliver recommendations to HR regarding both training and non-training development solutions.
“Leadership development training is a key strategic advantage for organizations who recognize the need to develop their future leaders. Washington County’s Leadership Competency Model will drive the design and development of leadership training by establishing a baseline set of competencies and behaviors critical to ensuring success at all levels of the organization,” said Alan Lindsay, President/CEO of PLS Consulting.
